For the convenience of our residents, the Town Clerk’s Office provides a large gray drop box located to the left of the front entrance doors, in the corner of the building.

The Town Clerk’s Office accepts payments by cash, check, money order, credit card, and debit card. Please note that convenience fees apply to card payments. When paying by check, kindly include a phone number.

If you have questions or require assistance, please contact our office. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The Town Clerk’s Office maintains official Town Board records and vital records, issues death certificates, and provides marriage, fishing, hunting, and dog licenses. The office also issues permits for disabled parking, garage sales, soliciting, yard waste facility access, waste collectors, and more.

Marriage license applications are processed by appointment only, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Retired Town Clerk Diane Marco is available to officiate weddings performed within the Town of Rotterdam. She may be contacted at [email protected].

The Town Clerk’s Office is also a license-issuing agent for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) for fishing and hunting licenses. All DEC licenses are processed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
